Fathom is an AI meeting assistant that records and summarizes calls. CloseIntel (closeintel.ai) is a closed-loop AI sales training and coaching platform that scores the sales calls a team already records against that team’s own sales process. Connected, every new Fathom recording is imported automatically, scored phase by phase with the evidence quoted, and turned into assigned training and AI roleplay drills where it falls short.

What connects
- Authentication: OAuth. You authorize CloseIntel from a Fathom popup; there is no API key to paste and no extra confirmation step.
- Setup time: about two minutes, from the Settings, Integrations page in CloseIntel.
- Prerequisite: your Fathom email must be an attendee on the call and the Fathom notetaker must be recording. Fathom works best with scheduled meetings where the notetaker is enabled for your calendar.
What data flows
- Customer-supplied transcript text and the recording metadata Fathom exposes, imported after each meeting finishes processing. Fathom is listed on the sub-processor page as transcript ingestion via customer connection, US region.
- Each imported call appears in History with a Fathom source label and is queued for scoring.
- Optional: back-fill past Fathom recordings, pull recent recordings on demand with Sync now, and filter by meeting-title keywords so only sales calls are analyzed.
- Personal information is redacted before analysis by default. Your transcripts are processed, never used to train AI models.

In CloseIntel, open Settings, then Integrations, and choose the Fathom tile.

Click Connect Fathom. A popup opens for you to sign in to Fathom and approve the access.

The popup closes and Fathom shows as connected. New recordings start flowing in after your next meeting finishes processing.
Works with
What CloseIntel does not do
- 01
It does not join, record, or transcribe your meetings. Fathom does that; CloseIntel reads what Fathom already produced.

It does not change anything inside Fathom. Disconnect from the Fathom tile at any time, or revoke access on the Fathom side.

It does not write scores or notes back to a CRM.
Questions
Straight answers about this connection
No. Fathom records and summarizes the meeting. CloseIntel imports the finished recording and transcript through the connection you authorized and scores it against your sales process. CloseIntel never joins a call.
Yes. Add meeting-title keywords on the Fathom tile and only matching meetings are analyzed; leave the filter empty to analyze everything. Auto-analyze can be switched off at any time without disconnecting.
Ingestion stops immediately. Disconnect from the Fathom tile in CloseIntel, or revoke the authorization in Fathom; an expired or revoked authorization shows as Reconnect required on the tile. Analyses already produced stay in your workspace under the retention terms in the Privacy Policy.
A new recording is imported a few minutes after Fathom finishes processing it, and most calls finish scoring within ten minutes of landing in CloseIntel.
