CloseIntel + Fireflies: every Fireflies transcript, scored against your sales process
Fireflies.ai records and transcribes meetings. CloseIntel (closeintel.ai) is a closed-loop AI sales training and coaching platform that scores the sales calls a team already records against that team’s own sales process. Connected, every new Fireflies transcript is imported automatically, scored phase by phase with the evidence quoted, and turned into assigned training and AI roleplay drills where it falls short.

What connects
- Authentication: your Fireflies API key (from the Fireflies Developer Settings page), plus a webhook URL and secret that CloseIntel generates and you paste into Fireflies under Settings, Developer settings, Webhooks.
- Setup time: about two minutes, from the Settings, Integrations page in CloseIntel. No admin approval is needed on the Fireflies side.
- Prerequisite: the Fireflies notetaker must be active on the meeting for a transcript to exist.
- If your Fireflies account uses a different email than your CloseIntel account, CloseIntel sends a one-time confirmation link to the Fireflies address. Calls are not analyzed until it is clicked, and the connection disables itself after 24 hours if it is not confirmed.
What data flows
- Customer-supplied transcript text, imported after Fireflies finishes processing each meeting. Fireflies is listed on the sub-processor page as transcript ingestion via customer connection, US region.
- Each imported call appears in History with a Fireflies source label and is queued for scoring.
- Optional: back-fill past Fireflies recordings, pull recent transcripts on demand with Sync now, and filter by meeting-title keywords so only sales calls are analyzed.
- Personal information is redacted before analysis by default. Your transcripts are processed, never used to train AI models.

In CloseIntel, open Settings, then Integrations, and choose the Fireflies.ai tile.

Paste your Fireflies API key. CloseIntel verifies it before continuing.

Copy the webhook URL and webhook secret CloseIntel shows you into Fireflies under Settings, Developer settings, Webhooks, and save.

If prompted, click the confirmation link sent to your Fireflies email. New recordings start importing after the next meeting finishes processing.

What CloseIntel does not do
- 01
It does not join, record, or transcribe your meetings. Fireflies does that; CloseIntel reads the transcript Fireflies already produced.

It does not change anything inside Fireflies. The connection can be disconnected from either side at any time.

It does not write scores or notes back to a CRM.
Questions
Straight answers about this connection
No. Fireflies records and transcribes the meeting. CloseIntel imports the finished transcript through the webhook you configure and scores it against your sales process. CloseIntel never joins a call.
Yes. Add meeting-title keywords (for example Demo or Discovery) on the Fireflies tile and only matching meetings are analyzed; leave the filter empty to analyze everything. Auto-analyze can be switched off at any time without disconnecting.
Ingestion stops immediately. Disconnect or rotate the webhook URL from the Fireflies tile in CloseIntel, or delete the webhook inside Fireflies. Analyses already produced stay in your workspace under the retention terms in the Privacy Policy.
A new recording is imported a few minutes after Fireflies finishes processing it, and most calls finish scoring within ten minutes of landing in CloseIntel.
