CloseIntel + Zoom: every Zoom cloud recording, scored against your sales process
Zoom is the video meeting platform most sales teams already run demos on, and a paid Zoom plan can record every meeting to the cloud. CloseIntel (closeintel.ai) is a closed-loop AI sales training and coaching platform that scores the sales calls a team already records against that team’s own sales process. Today a Zoom cloud recording reaches CloseIntel by share link or upload; once the Zoom Marketplace app is listed, every new cloud recording will import automatically.
Status
Automatic Zoom sync is coming soon, pending the Zoom Marketplace listing. Zoom cloud recordings can be scored today by pasting a share link into Intel or uploading the file.

What connects
- Today: paste a Zoom cloud-recording share link (with its passcode) into Intel, or upload the recording or transcript. There is no connection to configure.
- Coming soon: OAuth through the Zoom App Marketplace, either org-wide (a Zoom account admin connects once and every cloud recording routes to the rep who hosted it) or per rep.
- Prerequisite: cloud recording requires a paid Zoom plan (Pro or higher). Local recordings saved to a computer are not synced; upload them instead.
- For the best results, turn on Audio transcript and Record an audio-only file under Zoom Settings, Recording.
What data flows
- Cloud recordings and meeting metadata. Zoom is listed on the sub-processor page as call ingestion via customer OAuth, US region.
- If Zoom produced a transcript it imports directly; otherwise CloseIntel transcribes the audio (AssemblyAI is the transcription sub-processor). Each call appears in History with a Zoom source label and is queued for scoring.
- With the automatic connection, past recordings from the last 30 days are available in the Import picker, and auto-analyze can be toggled per connection.
- If the app is removed from Zoom without consent to data retention, the raw content obtained through Zoom APIs (transcripts, recording links, cached derivatives) is deleted within 10 days of deauthorization.

Open the recording in Zoom (from your cloud recordings) and copy the share link, including the passcode if one is required.

In CloseIntel, open Intel from the sidebar, choose Share Link, paste the link, and click Run Analysis.

If a share link is blocked by a CAPTCHA, copy the transcript text and use Paste Transcript instead, or upload the audio file.

What CloseIntel does not do

CloseIntel does not record calls. It analyzes cloud recordings that Zoom already made, after you share the recording or connect the integration.

It does not join meetings as a bot or a participant, and it does not change anything inside Zoom.

Questions
Straight answers about this connection
No. Zoom records the meeting to the cloud under your Zoom settings. CloseIntel analyzes the recording Zoom already made, whether you share the link, upload the file, or, once the Marketplace app is live, connect the account. CloseIntel never joins a meeting.
Today you choose by sharing or uploading only the recordings you want scored. The automatic connection will add an auto-analyze toggle per connection and a 30-day Import picker for past recordings.
Both directions stop ingestion immediately: Disconnect on the Zoom tile in CloseIntel, or Remove under Manage, Added Apps in the Zoom App Marketplace. Without consent to data retention, CloseIntel deletes the raw Zoom-sourced content within 10 days; the coaching analyses it generated are retained under the Privacy Policy and can be deleted on request.
A shared or uploaded recording is queued immediately, and most calls finish scoring within ten minutes of landing in CloseIntel. Zoom transcripts import fastest; audio-only files are transcribed first.
